A Group Blog for Improvisational and Utility Quilting

Kaja and I started a group blog for improvisational and utility quilters. We believe it will generate more interest and encourage more participation than a linky party because every contributor will be able to write as and when they choose.

AHIQ group blog

Check out our inaugural post at AdHocImprovQuilters(dot)blogspot(dot)com. When you have something to contribute let us know and we'll gladly add you.

Kaja and I plan to post there on Fourth Tuesdays... and any other day we have something improvisational or utilitarian to share.

Patty asked how to add the button to her blog. Here are directions if you use Blogger:
  1. Go to the sidebar of Kaja's or my blog.
  2. Highlight the code (text) under the AdHoc Improvisational Quilters button.
  3. Press Control and C at the same time to copy it.
  4. Go to your blog's design page and choose the settings tab.
  5. Click Add a Gadget in the sidebar.
  6. Choose HTML/Java script.
  7. Press Control and V at the same time to paste the code into the second (larger) box in your gadget. Save the arrangement of your layout.

Enjoy the day, Ann

Love the group's button! Kaja's quilt was a perfect choice! Now I just need to figure out how to add the button to the sidebar of my blog - I haven't a clue!

Go to your blog's design page and choose the settings tab. Then click Add a Gadget in the sidebar. Next choose HTML/Java script. Go to Kaja's or my blog. Highlight the code (text) under the AdHoc Improvisational Quilters button. Press Control and C at the same time to copy it. Go back to your blog. Press Control and V at the same time to paste the code into the second (larger) box in your gadget. Save the arrangement of your layout.

I just tried the link (it's now 9:58 Mountain Time) and it gave me a message saying that blog does not exist but it is available to register if I wanted to.

It's working for me when I test it. Let me know if you still have problems.

OMG Grandma is struggling with this...Please check my blog and see what I did wrong. the so called "button" is in words only at the top right hand side...twice I did it wrong.

I'm not sure but I think you didn't copy all the code in that little box. There's a bunch so you have to scroll down to get it all. This worked great last week when I was testing it but today it's giving me errors when I test. However, I'm not at my own home.
If it still doesn't work, you can try to copy the same button on Kaja's site. Perhaps it will work better there.
Let me know how it goes.

Her quilt makes a great button. I'm having issues with my computer today. Not sure if it's me, my location, or Blogger. Let me know how it works for you.
