Simone at Rosellas and Lorikeets recently wrote about making fresh lime zest. It sounded so delicious (and smart) but limes are out of season here. There are still tangerines and oranges which I used to make orange zest.

Dry it as she suggested or freeze it in small amounts. Perfect for orange butter cookies or toppings for fish and salad. Great idea, Simone!
