Back of the quilt is a collage of corals.

Originally, I wanted to bind the quilt in dark blue but didn't have enough of any. There was some bright orange/coral in the discard pile that worked well.

Maureen at MysticQuilter is working on these same blocks in batiks. We both enjoy mixing the many fabrics in within the constraints of a block. Each has its own individual style.
Enjoy the day, Ann

Color Study is a wonderful version of a Chinese coins quilt. Love it.
Love all of this color. This quilt is colorlicious (sp?).
Striking use of color/contrast, Ann.
And the coral backing and orange binding are over the top.
Finished is right when it is signed, washed and dried. A beautiful finish. I am sure whoever gets it will love it.
This is fabulous! Very well done!
Great job...I love the colors...be proud
Wonderful quilt. I love how it glows!
Another lovely finish...I love the gradation of colors & values!!
A great quilt, I really love how the colours dance across the quilt!
I too like the coral. I also like the way one fabric sometimes runs across two bars and the way you have used really dark shades in your corners. In fact, in general these is something really pleasing about the distribution of colour and pattern in this.
Thanks, Patty. I hope so
It turned out better than I expected, Lynne. Thanks for writing.
Thank you, Lisa.
Thanks. My sister thinks I should have named them better but numbering is an easy way to keep them straight.
Hahaha, Karen. Thanks.
The monochromatic back worked well. I'll use again.
Thanks, Kate. It's a happy quilt.
Great word! Thanks for writing and inventing it
I really like the layout on this one. I usually think colors need to be mixed up around the quilt and not bunched together if there are multiple colors. How wrong I am! Congrats on another beauty!
Thanks, Janie. It turned out exceptionally well. I like the soft back with the bright front, too.
Thanks, Shasta. It is felidf when every last finishing touch is do e.
Thanks, Pamela.
Thanks for writing. It's such a happy quilt.
Thanks for writing, Pam. I like that glow, too and had fun arranging it
You'd dye the gradation, Mel, but I enjoyed collecting the print is. Thanks for the compliment
Thanks, Linda. Me, too.
I enjoyed placing these blocks. It took several tried to get this arrangement. I'm so glad I took my time.
Thanks, Cathy. I worked on the layout for several days. The first arrangement was much more random and I thought that would work (like you) but moving them made a tremendous difference
Yummy! Great job on your colors.
Thanks, Cynthia.
Oh I do love the vibrant colour in your Colour Study quilt!!! The beautiful coral pieced back is also loved!!
I'm amazed how much it glows, too. And I'm glad the back is softer but coherent.
